Hey guys, how are you?
Bill: We spend a lot of nights waken up and we are still a little bit tired. But despite of that, it's everything fine!

Did you guys were celebrating something?
Tom: No, not at all. We are full of work and really close to the album's release. The stress is up and, as always, we left everything to the end.

Are you happy with the final result of Humanoid?
Bill: I am really happy with it. Every songs are perfect.

Some journalists refer this album release as the "comeback of Tokio Hotel".
Bill: During the year we have been producing the album and we wanted, in some way, to step asside, desapear...
Why?
Bill: At some point I couldn't see my face neather hear my name. I wanted my rest back so I could concentrate myself again on the music. But there is always someone who doesn't let us in peace.

As for example the four french fans that stalked and complicated your lifes?
Bill: Those were complicated situations, they happened and we couldn't avoid them.
This thing with the french fans seemed a little bit weird, it looked like made-up.
Tom: People think that 90% of what is going on with us is made-up, but it's right the opposite.
Bill: I swear that this story is not made-up. Maybe that will help people to have a little idea of the life we take. For a long time we don't have a normal and private life.
Tom: This year we tryed not to attract attentions to us. We wanted to concentrate in work, in the conception of the album. We didn't went to parties, we leaved home and get on studio. We spent a lot of time in Hamburg, where we live, and, in between, we went to Los Angeles and Miami, in the USA. We prefer to stay in Germany to spend a little more time with our parents and our dogs. The main part of the album was done through internet. We recorded the voices and guitar sounds in Hamburgo and the producers, in Los anfeles, did the mix. We comunicated with them by Skype.

Do you still have a private life?
Tom: No, nothing.
Bill: For example, we can't eat a ice cream with our family in public. The only moment when we are alone is on the car, that's why we decided to contract a driver. The time we spend on the car is our moment of freedom and the only one left.

What you said is a little bit desconcentrated. The idea of "we can only be ourselfs in the car".
Bill: That's true. During this year when we were almost always on the studio, we finally realized that we gave up on everything. But we would do the same choices again. After all, we have a lot of rewards. Sometimes I think "Damm, and I even receive money to do what I like". It makes me so happy!

What do you do on your free time?
Bill: Work. Me and Tom, we usually laugh when we read some stuff likw "the publicity machine behind Tokio Hotel" and those kinds of stupidities.
Tom: The 10 persons of our team work exclusively for the band. Each one of those 10 members does a specific task. All them are with us, so, we participated in all this process.
Bill: Tom and I, we are really perfeccionists and controllers. But this is OUR band! It was us who created Tokio Hotel and ecery decisions that have to do with the group, should be taken by us.

The new single Automatic get's right on our ears.
Bill: Yes, it's a nice song to hear while we are travelling in our cars. I realized we use that word a lot of times in our days. Thousands of things in our life are automatic and most of them are positive. What is not in this "word" is love. Love will never be automatic.

But in the song it is...
Bill: Sometimes it happens.

Do some relationships really work in automatic control?
Tom: Yes. When I am with older people I ask them how can them live with the same person year after yeat. I can't imagine myself to share a life with my woman.

Really?
Bill: I can
Tom: No, I don't. It would impose myself a lot of limitations. People accomodate very easily and the relationship get's monotone. I know older couples that shared a life time together. I find that a little romantic.
Bill: People shouldn't live for another that easily. They should be glad for have found each other and give some value. I think it's possible to share a life with someone.

Aaaah...
Bill: When I will be in love, I will do my bags and I am going to live in another place.
Tom: Forget it Bill, we will live together for the rest of our lifes.
Bill: In that case, we will have to do a sliding door in the middle of the house. On one side, I will live with my girlfriend, and on the other side, there will you be living.

You share the same house?
Tom: We can't leave away of each other. Each one of us has his room and his bathroom, but we spend the days together.

Bill, art this moment, are you in love?
Bill: No, but I would like it. It hurts me to give everytime the same answer, but, at this moment, I am with anyone. Fall in love might be the last thing I will do in my life.

Why do you think that way?
Bill: There are a lot of people who get closer to me with a studied text. I can't be waiting for them to be sincere. They just see Bill Kaulitz. Most of them just think about money and some just want to ask me things of the genre "I am stilist, do you want to dress the T-shirt that i dressed?". I find it disgusting.
Tom: It's very hard to meet someone with who we can be involved one day. Beside that, we spend our time jumping from a city to another diferent one. For 4 years we don't do friends. First, it's had to trust people; Second everything is really fast and we end up being superficial.

It's a very negative vision of people...
Tom: There is something rooted. It's the fruit of circunstances.
Bill: Okay it's like an excuse, it's an evasion.
Tom: But that's the truth.
Bill: But it would be really nice if we could meet someone who don't has TV for 10 years and that never ever have heard talk about Tokio Hotel. That way we could live a little bit like "normal" people. The people when they know me, they have already an idea of me.
Tom: A lot of times we clarify their minds. We make them understand that they are completly wronf.

Bill, there are a lot of people who say that you don't like girls.
Bill: Yes, that happens a lot of times. When they don't know me, the question os always on the air. They should think "He wears make up, his clothes are weird. Yes, he might be gay".

That doesn't bother you?
Bill: No, nothing. I am used to it since always. At the school it was the same.
Tom: It's rare girls think that about him. There were always a lot of girls who wanted him. Mainly, are the boys thinking he is homossexual.
Bill: A lot of guys get angry and with theyr pride hurted when I do have a girlfriend and they think that I have a weak masculine side.

You mother married recently with her partner.
Bill: Yes, that's cool, right? It's her first marriage. Our parents were never married.

Don't you find romantic the fact that she wanted to marry after 12 years of living with him?
Bill: Yes, I am very happy for my mother. Our stepfather always incentivated our will to do music. We grow up with him and we always got well together.
Tom: I found the idea of marry very pretty. But I can't imagine my self giving that step.
Bill: I always said I wouldn't marry, but now I am not sure anymore. If I fall really in love, everything is possible. When I will find my soul mate, I will marry her.

In September 1st, you guys did 20 years. It was a bif step?
Bill: I would like to be 18 forever. We felt much more older than we were, because since 15 we work and win our money.
Tom: 20 years seem to be a very important date but I can't wait to turn 21. In the United Stated we have a problem, we can only take alcohol drinks when we have that age.

Were there any plan or strategy in the Humanoid conception?
Tom: The plan was not to have a plan. Have bass, batery and guitar in the band and try our a little more of electro.
Bill: We didn't wanted a sound that would be completly Rock neather that would be just connected to one style. We wanted to do cool songs. Was a really long creative process.

Woah: Bill and Tom are just 13, Gustav 14 and Georg 15 years old, when they take their first Steps towards “world fame”! Back then the young Rockers called themselves ‘Devilish’, but shortly after that they changed their name to ‘Schrei’.

Funny: Already at the age of 13 the Twins had their characteristic Look, with which they got famous in 2005. Bill with his fuzzy Manga hair and Tom with his Dreadlocks. Seven years later the four Boys from Magdeburg are Germanys biggest Rockband, which has its big comeback this week – with their Single ‘Automatisch’ [Release: 18. September]!

Lange hörte man nicht von ihnen, doch jetzt packen Bill und Tom von Tokio Hotel in MÄDCHEN aus...
Wir sprachen mit ihnen über alles, was ihnen wichtig ist: ihre Hunde, wahre Heimat, die Suche nach der großen liebe und ihre Musik...

Über ein Jahr haben sich tokio Hotel bei uns rargemacht. Was war los? Sie wurden Superstars in den USA und arbeiteten fleißig an ihrem dritten Album 'Humanoid', dass am 2. Oktober erscheint. Beim Interview sind die Jungs ganz locker, reden viel, gerne auch gleichzeitig. Sie veraten uns, was sie erlebt haben und was sie beschäftigt.

REISEN, ECHTE HEIMAT & TIERLIEBE
Tom. Wir waren für unser Album in Miami und L.A., aber auch viel in Deutschland. Wir lieben es, zu Hause zu sein, in unseren eigenen Betten zu schlafen und viel mit unseren Hunden zu spielen. Vier von ihnen haben wir ja Aus dem Tierheim gerettet.
Bill. Deutschland für immer verlassen - das könnte ich gar nicht. Hier sind wir aufgewachsen, hier sind unsere Wurzeln. Im Ausland fühlt man sich immer etwas fremd. Aber Urlaub machen wir natürlich sehr gerne. Auf den Malediven waren wir zum Beispiel schon vier mal.

STALKER UND SCHLIMME ÄNGSTE
Tom. Das letzte Jahr hat uns geprägt. Wir wollten uns ein, zwei Jahre aus der Öffentlickteit zurückziehen, aber das hat ja nicht geklappt wegen der Stalker-Geschichte [Anm. der Red.: Vier Mädchen verfolgten die Band ein halbes Jahr, bis die Situation eskalierte].
Bill. Diese Vorfälle haben gezeigt, wie viele kranke Leute es gibt, denen geholfen werden müsste. Eine Privatsphäre haben wir eigentlich nicht mehr.

WORUM GEHT'S BEI EURER SINGLE ,,Automatisch'' [AB 18.9.]?
Bill. Viele Sachen im Alltag macht man ganz automatisch. In Liebesbeziehungen aber ist Routine tödlich, da geht das Sponane verloren. Uns betrifft es ja nicht, weil wir beide schon lange Singles sind.

FLIRTS UND TIEFE SEHNSÜCHTE
Beide. O ja, wir flirten sehr gerne [lachen]
Bill. Die Augen finde ich ganz, ganz wichtig. Wenn ich mich in ein Mädchen verliebe, dann zuerst in die Augen. Da kann man ganz tief in die Seele gucken, als würde man sich schon sehr lange kennen.
Tom. Ich habe ja schon unglaublich viele Mädchen kennengelernt, aber ein bestimmter Mädchentyp?
Nein. Blond oder braun, ich will mich nicht festlegen.
Bill. Ich habe schon seit Jahren keine feste Beziehung. Ich weiß, es klingt traurig, aber es ist das Größte, wonach ich mich sehne. Ich wünsche mir eine Freundin zu fimnden, die den Weg mit mir geht.

GELD UND DIE GROSSE LIEBE
Bill. Geld icht wichtig, aber auf keinen Fall alles. Für die Liebe meines Lebens würde ich auf Geld und Klamotten verzichten. Kein Problem - ich brauche ja wirklich nicht viel.

Tokio Hotel: A Music Mix Q&A

A pair of twins who only just turned twenty are leading Germany’s latest musical blitzkrieg. Bill and Tom Kaulitz are half of the emo-pop foursome Tokio Hotel, and with the release of their second U.S. album Humanoid this October, the European superstars seem poised to finally break into America’s mainstream.

Why is this group of Hot Topic Deutschlanders leagues ahead of the competition? Maybe it’s lead singer Bill Kaulitz’s thick Robert Smith makeup and Mad Max punk fashion aesthetic. Or does the combination of twin brothers (and self-described soul mates) in a band truly make for emo magic?

We talked to them about guitarist Tom’s secret hip-hop recordings(!), Bill’s Twilight obsession, and why they named their band after a city they’ve never even been to.

Entertainment Weekly: Did you ever think you would end up so successful so quickly?
- Bill Kaulitz: No, we never, ever expected that. We came from a small village and there is no music business there. We never expected it—it was a lot of happy and lucky moments for us, and we are totally happy that we got the chance to do all this. There was never a plan behind it. We just did our thing and try to be good.

EW: Does your success change the way you approach writing music? Do you ever go into the studio thinking, “I should I try to write a hit”?
- BK: We try to push the pressure away. It’s not good in the studio if you think, “Oh, I have to write a hit like ‘Monsoon’ or something.” You just go ahead and write your thoughts down. Just try to do things you love and I think then it’s always good. If you like what you do then it’s fine.

EW: Tom, I hear you’re into hip-hop—would you ever try to incorporate that into your sound?
- Tom Kaulitz: Sometimes—we have a home studio—sometimes I secretly put down some beats, some guitar beats and stuff like that, but I never tried that in our music. And I’m not a really good rapper, so I never tried that. Maybe one day, maybe in ten years or something, but for now, no, that’s not the plan.

EW: When you perform in English it sounds quite natural, but do you have to think about each syllable as you sing?
- BK: In the beginning, for the first English record it was really hard for me because I’m a perfectionist and I really wanted it to sound natural and not like a German who tries to sing in English. So it took some time in the studio but now it’s totally fine for me. It was like the beginning of Tokio Hotel. Ten years ago we started with that—we started with English and German songs—but the English ones were so bad. It was not good English, kind of embarrassing. But now I get really use to it. If I’m onstage, it’s totally my song.

EW: You also have very distinctive looks. Are there any fashion influences you look to?
- BK: I don’t think so. I never had a role model or something. But as a kid I loved all the vampire movies, so that might be an influence.

EW: Are you enjoying the vampire popularity with Twilight and everything?
- BK: Yeah, I really love this movie. Everyone was talking about it, and I was very late. I didn’t know about the movie, and then everyone is like, “you have to see it, you have to see it,” and I was like, “okay, okay.” Then I was on the flight to L.A. and I saw the movie on the plane and it’s really, really good.

EW: Being brothers, especially twins, does that make touring and recording easier, or do you ever find yourselves competing?
- TK: I think it’s both maybe, but it’s completely normal for us to be together. We always have the same friends, we always have the same interests in everything. We’re just, you know, together 24 hours, everything a day.
- BK: And I can’t—we can’t—live without each other. We are always together. We are like one person and like soul mates. We don’t have to talk.
- TK: But if we fight, it’s a really tough fight. We take everything we find, like a table and a chair and everything. We fight.
- BK: But it’s not that often, most of the time we are totally like one person.

EW: Is there anything you haven’t accomplished as a band that you’d love to?
- TK: Uh, yeah, we want to play Tokyo.
- BK: We’ve never been in Tokyo so far, so that’s one thing. And we want to play a world tour, that’s kind of a dream for us.

EW: So what’s with your love of Tokyo if you haven’t been there, what does it mean to you?
- BK: I think we just heard about it and it’s like a huge city and of course it’s a cool sound: ‘Tokyo” sounds so cool. So that was the main reason why we chose it.

The Style of Tokio Hotel.

Bill: already way before the band began I loved going outside the house
with make up and everything that goes with it.
I didn't feel like I was dressed up, but felt like myself.
actually, when I have a few days off these days, what hardly happens,
I love sitting around unshaved, with no make up and in joggingpants on he couch. it is a pretty nice chance.

Tom: I have always had these urban haircuts.
used to be dreadlocks, now cornrows (africanbraids)
I like easycare hair. you get up in the morning and don't have to fix your hair first.

The Idols of Tokio Hotel:

Bill: I had always had a love for vampire movies, I like Nena and David Bowie.
I never thought, I want to look like that.
The japanese Visual-Kei-scene ( comics and punk inspired fashionmovement) to what I often get compared, I did not know it.
Tom: I like tough guys. Steve McQueen and Robert De Niro.
I want to look like that when I am old.
I can imagine I would wear a beard then.

Tokio Hotel and rebellism.

Bill: our stepfather picked us up from the town once with a baseballbat
because older boys had threatened to beat us up.
We already polarised when we were 9, and were contious of it.
the more the people got agitated by my dark make up the darker it would be the next day.

Tokio Hotel and Sex:

Bill: at concerts I could ofcourse say to one of the securitypeople:
That one, that one and this one, bring them to me later.
but it doesn't turn me on, I have to be in love.

Tom: to get with me, you don't need any difficult tricks(laughs)
I have taken extreme advantage of that for a long time, had a lot of
"short stories" going on.
but it was only something physical and nothing more.

Bill: Once I got to my hotelroom and there were 3 girls laying on the bed.
The bodyguards went nuts and threw them out ofcourse.
but things like that happen. the girls come in through the window.

TokioHotel and privacy.

Tom: since a few years we live very secluded lives.
If we ever go outside the house, then we always have security with us.
Going out and walking around spontaniously, we can not do that anymore.
In the last year I have not met even one person simply on the street.

Tokio Hotel and the Business:

Tom Our new album is also a thank you to our German fans,
for staying true to us, while we were touring the world.
That we often work with older people during our workingdays
does not bother us at all.
Bill: I totally love hanging out with older people!
I would love to have an old folks club.
I would meet them every afternoon for coffee.

When tokio hotel had their first number 1 hit, in 2005 with Durch Den Monsun, Bill wore a combination of punk, emo and a "I slept bad last night" on his head.

Tokio Hotel on the hunt for love
The heartthrobs only misses one thing in life – girlfriends.
They just turned 20. Yet they have lived a life others only dream about.
They have everything. Almost.
“I wish nothing more than to fall in love” lead vocalist Bill Kaulitz says.

There are hundreds of girls outside Sheraton. The reason is inside. The german rockband tokio Hotel is in Stockholm to meet the press about the upcoming new album Humanoid. The fans are watching the entrance. Waiting patiently.

Still singles
Every since the breakthrough 2005 the band hasn’t only been celebrated for their music; the bandmembers are also obvious favourites among girls. And still singles. At least most of them.
“Georg has a girl, but the rest of us don’t have any girlfriends” guitarist Tom Kaulitz, 20, says.
That he himself has been seen with Flipyside’s leadsinger Chantell Paige is only met with a laughter.
“We are not dating, but she is a fun and nice girl.”

It would be a big miracle
For the twin brother and frontman Bill Kaulitz, 20, the success with Tokio Hotel has prevented him from one thing – to find love.
“I think it is the most unrealistic thing that I can wish for right now. It is the biggest con/setback with being in the band. I don’t walk outside on the streets, I don’t go to the movies, and if I am at a club I am always sealed off (behind a fence). No matter where I am, I am always alone (isolated). So it would be a big miracle if I could fall in love with somebody, the lead seinger says.
At the same time it is exactly that he dreams about.
I wish nothing more than to fall in love and I hope that there exist a person who wants to share their life with me, Bill says.

Was für eine coole Birthdaypary! Um ihren 20 Geburtstag am 01.09 anständing zu feiern, haben sich die Tokio-Hotel-Zwillinge Bill und Tom den ganzen Heidepark Soltau – nur für sich und ihre 20 engste Freunde und Verwandten – gemietet. Absoluter Wahnsinn!

Bill: “Wir haben uns mit diesem Tag einen Kindheitstraum erfüllt. Das war so unglaublich geil. Wir sind bis zum späten Abend in dem Park geblieben.” Und dabei haben die Jungs alles ausprobiert. Loopings mit der Achterbahn, Wildwasserrafting und den Freefalltower – immer wieder den ganzen Tag lang. “Wir haben alles mitgenommen,was sich irgendwie dreht.”

Lustig: Damit die Kaulitz-Frisuren nicht zerstört werden und auch die Klamotten schön trocken blieben, schützen sich Bill und Tom mit Regencapes. Am Ende der verrückten Party taumelten Die eineiinigen Tokio-Hotel-Twins dann völlig durchgeschüttelt aber überglücklich mit ihren Gästen aus dem Vergnügungspark. Bravo sagt: Happy Birthday!

Das beweist: Bill hat eben ein XXL Herz! Und das sich der Dackel an Bills Seite pudelwol fühlt, ist kaum zu übersehen. Der kleine Hund ist sogar ein eingefleischter Tokio-Hotel-Fan. “Sie feiert auf unsere Musik total ab.” lacht der Sänger “Naja, an ‘Durch den Mosun’ hat sie sich einbisschen überhört. Aber beim neuen ‘Humanoid’ fängt sie immer an mit dem Schwanz zu wedeln.”

UND: Alle 4 schlafen mit Bill in einem Bett. “Ich könnte nie auf meine Hunde verzichten”, macht der Tokio Hotel-Frontmann klar.

“Mir ist es voll egal das Hunde eigentlich nicht ins Bett gehören – je näher sie mir sind, desto schöner ist es. Ich kann jedem nur raten: Nehmt alle eure Hunde mit ins Bett. Sie wecken mich morgens auch oft auf und stupsen mir dann ihre Nase ins Gesicht.” sagt er. “Es ist schön zu sehen, wie sie sich über die einfachsten Dinge freuen.”

Kommen da denn jetzt noch mehr Bellos dazu? “Warscheinlich reichen uns die 4 Hunde jetzt erst einmal. Aber wer weiß, villeicht stehen wir irgendwann auch mal mit 10 Tieren da…”

What a cool Birthday pary! To celebrate their 20th birthday on Septermber 1st the Tokio Hotel Twins Bill and Tom rented out the whole Heide Park Soltau – only for themselves and their 20 closest friends and relatives. Absolute madness!

Bill: “With this day, we fullfilled our childhood dream. It was so incredibly wicked. We stayed in the park until late in the evening.” And the guys tried everything out. Loops with the roller coaster, wildwater rafting and the Free Fall Tower – again and again all day long. “We tried everything out, that revolves somehow.”

Funny: To prevent the Kaulitz-hairstyles from getting destroyed and to make sure that their clothes stayed nice and dry, Bill and Tom put some rain capes on for protection. At the end of the crazy party the identical Twins stumbled – completely shaken, but happy – out of the amusement park with their guests. Bravo says: Happy Birthday!

Those are the cutest pictures of the week. Tokio Hotel star Bill Kaulitz (20), like we have never seen him before. He sits in the Tourbus with his best friend. They travel together through Europe – they like to cuddle. It’s not a human – but a dog. BRAVO shows you the exclusive snapshots of the German world stars.

“It’s a little dachshund girl. Totally dear, sweet, and cuddly.” Bill told us, with a radiant smile on his face, in the Bravo Interwiev. “She is a little bit spoiled. But that’s a good thing. I would do anything for my dogs. I love them madly!” The Tokio Hotel-Star doesn’t want to give away the name of the Lady-Dog. He’s afraid that when a lot of people call out her name that the dog might be upset by it. By the way, Bill rescued the sweet dachshund girl from the shelter.

This proves that Bill has an XXL heart! And the fact, that the dachshund feels great with Bill on it’s side, is hard to miss. The little dog is even a Super-Fan of Tokio Hotel. “She loves our music.” the singer laughs, “Well, ‘Durch den Monsun’ she now hear a little bit too often. But when she ‘Humanoid’, she always starts wagging with her tail.”

At home in Hamburg, Bill and his twin brother Tom (20) have 3 more sweet barking dogs: another Dachshund, a Doberman-Labrador mongrel and a German Shorthair. AND: All of the 4 dogs sleep with Bill in his bed. “I could never give up my dogs,” the Tokio Hotel frontman makes clear.

“I don’t care about the fact that a dogs place is not in a bed – the closer they are to me, the more beautiful it is. I can just give everyone the advice: Take your dogs into your bed. They often wake me up in the morning by nudging their nose into my face.” he says. “It’s nice to see how they enjoy some of the simplest things.”

Will more dogs follow? “The 4 dogs are, probably, enough for now. But who knows, maby someday we’ll have 10 animals…”

Big Hair, Smokey Eyes, Sleek Chic – since Bill Kaulitz and his band Tokio Hotel had their first hit with “Durch den Monsun” in the summer of 2005, the 20-year-old singer with the unusual styling became a superstar. And a fashion icon.

He designed his favorite stage costumes himself. Even if he couldn’t draw well, his tailor knew what he meant. “Actually, I would like to wear outfits like these everytime.”

And: “Without makeup, I feel dressed up.” His favorites: David Bowie in “Labyrinth”, Nena, Vampires, Paris, Secondhand Shops, striking jewelry and Dior Homme. He owns pants of the label in countless variations, also because they fit him perfectly.

“Otherwise there are hardly any clothes that don’t need to be changed for me.” Custom-made clothes are like a tradition in the Kaulitz-House: Bill’s mother is a seamstress and tailor. Already when he was a student, she sewed from several T-Shirts an unique one.

Recently, he collects braces, and Bill Kaulitz is also “totally crazy about jackets” – especially leather jackets. Hundreds of them are hanging in his closet – most of them in black. Too many to keep track of? “No, I could tell you a story to each jacket.”

Bill und Tom Kaulitz von Tokio Hotel im Gespräch über Fremdheit, Einsamkeit, Traurigkeit, die Freude am Job und ihr neues Album "Humanoid"

Eine "Diamantene Schallplatte" aus Frankreich, ein Newcomer-Preis bei den MTV Video Music Awards in New York, gleich vier Auszeichnungen bei den MTV Latin Music Awards in Mexiko. Die Erfolgsgeschichte von Tokio Hotel im Ausland in den letzten zwei Jahren ist für eine deutsche Band beispiellos. Am 2.Oktober erscheint nun Tokio Hotels drittes Album "Humanoid" - erstmals weltweit in englischer und deutscher Sprache. Am kommenden Dienstag werden die eineiigen Zwillinge Tom (Gitarre) und Bill Kaulitz (Gesang) 20 Jahre jung.

Bill, Tom, als Tokio Hotel vor zwei Jahren bei den MTV Europe Music Awards in München ihren ersten weltweit ausgestrahlten TV-Auftritt hatten, hagelte es von den Deutschen in der Halle Pfiffe. Ausländische Journalisten fragten mich, warum Landsleute ihre eigene Band ausbuhen. Was hätten Sie geantwortet?

Bill Kaulitz: Ich hätte gesagt, dass in Deutschland die Wahrnehmung von Tokio Hotel eine andere ist. Dadurch, dass wir hier leben und hier auch angefangen haben, und das schon im Alter von 15, ist es anders als in anderen Ländern, wo wir zwar mit derselben Musik, aber eben erst zwei, drei Jahre später loslegten. Es fällt nun mal schwer, über seinen Schatten zu springen und zu sagen: "Ja, ich finde Musik von 15-Jährigen gut." Und letztendlich hat man mit dem Erfolg immer Neider.

Tom Kaulitz: Genau, Erfolg ohne Neid gibt es einfach nicht.

Halten Sie das für typisch Deutsch?

Bill: Ja, aber ich glaube, es entwickelt sich immer mehr in die Richtung, dass man sich auch für uns freuen kann. Diese Tendenzen beobachten wir schon. Das ist spannend. Aber heftige Reaktionen waren eh nie neu für uns. Und ehrlich gesagt, ist es auch immer eine Herausforderung, wenn so was passiert. Wenn ich auf der Bühne stehe, und die Leute buhen oder ähnliches, dann ist das in erster Linie Ansporn. Ich werde deshalb nicht schüchtern oder innerlich traurig. Sondern denke: OK, dann muss ich noch mehr Gas geben, damit das solche Leute auch gut finden.

Gleichzeitig soll Dave Grohl von den Foo Fighters nach besagtem Auftritt zu Ihrem Schlagzeuger Gustav gegangen sein und ihm anerkennend auf die Schulter geklopft haben.

Tom: Gerade an dem Abend bei den EMAs kamen diverse Leute auf uns zu und sagten: Es war super.

Bill: Ja, so ist das. Es gibt andere Bands, die nicht mitkriegen, was in Deutschland passiert, und uns völlig unvoreingenommen gut finden können. Jay-Z hat sich unsere Show in Los Angeles angeguckt und ging danach mit uns essen. Da fühlt man sich schon geehrt.

Das allgemeine Interesse an Ihnen hat auch negative Seiten. Macht es Ihnen Angst, dass der Erfolg, für den Sie arbeiten, Ihren persönlichen Freiraum weiter einschränkt?

Tom: Ich glaube, der ist schon so weit eingeschränkt, viel schlimmer kann es nicht werden.

Bill: Ja, das ist eine Sache, die mit dem Erfolg mitkommt. Aber wir sind auch ein bisschen erfolgssüchtig. Man will immer noch mehr.

Wann haben Sie zuletzt die Freiheit des Unerkannt-Bleibens genossen?

Bill: Als wir Anfang 2008 das erste Mal in Amerika waren und einfach vor die Tür gegangen sind. Ohne Bodyguard auf der Straße rumzulaufen, das war schon cool. Aber gleichzeitig sagt man sich dann wieder: "Irgendwie will ich, dass die Leute auch hier die Musik und die Band kennen und uns erkennen."

Wo könnten Sie denn heute noch unbekümmert Urlaub machen?

Bill: Vermutlich in Australien. Da waren wir noch gar nicht.

Tom: Wir haben mittlerweile aber aus jedem Land irgendwelche Reaktionen erhalten. Selbst aus Japan und Australien, obwohl wir dort noch nichts veröffentlicht haben.

Ihre neue Platte heißt "Humanoid". Führen Sie ein humanoides, also nur menschenähnliches Leben?

Tom: Wir sind in der tiefsten Provinz aufgewachsen. Wir haben uns nie richtig normal gefühlt, immer maximal menschenähnlich. Es gibt auch heute bei uns nur ganz wenige Orte, wo man sich vertraut fühlt und entspannen kann. Eigentlich stellt sich das Gefühl nur noch zu Hause ein. Da sind wir vielleicht 20 Tage im Jahr. Und ansonsten fühlt man sich überall, wo man hinkommt, eher ein bisschen fremd.

Irgendwie traurig, oder?

Bill: Ja, manchmal. Aber .

Tom: . andererseits haben wir uns komplett daran gewöhnt. Wie gesagt, es ist ein Gefühl, was auch vor unserer Karriere immer da war.

Ihr Produzent David Jost beschrieb Sie, Bill, jüngst als dunklen Melancholiker der Band. Haben einsame Hotelnächte dazu beigetragen?

Bill: Die haben es verstärkt. Aber ich denke, so war ich schon immer. Ja, doch .(guckt zu seinem Bruder)

Tom: Ja, auf jeden Fall!

Bill: Ich will auch nicht alles immer nur schön reden. Gerade im letzten Jahr war ja für jeden gut sichtbar, was man privat für ein Leben führt, was für Sachen passieren können. Man muss dann überlegen, ob es einem das alles wert ist. Für mich war es das. Und ist es nach wie vor. Weil es immer noch die Momente gibt, wo ich im Studio stehe, einen Song aufnehme und mir sage: "Krass, mein Beruf ist Sänger. Ich kann damit mein Geld verdienen. Und ich muss nicht irgendeinen Job machen, auf den ich keine Lust habe." Das können nicht viele behaupten, ich habe ganz großes Glück damit.

Und dass das Leben im Käfig ähnlich krasse Auswirkungen auf Sie haben könnte wie bei anderen Stars, befürchten Sie nicht?

Bill: Wenn ich bei Künstlern mitkriege, dass sie tablettenabhängig sind oder Depressionen haben, kann ich das vermutlich eher nachvollziehen als Außenstehende, die nicht in so einem Leben stecken. Aber ich bin einfach wahnsinnig froh, dass ich Tom habe. So ist immer ein Familienmitglied mit dabei. Und als Band sind wir jetzt seit fast zehn Jahren zusammen und kennen uns richtig gut. Für Michael Jackson, eine Britney Spears oder all die anderen Solokünstler ist das sicher noch mal um einiges härter.

Wie groß sind denn die Chancen, dass Sie Ihre Traumfrau im Supermarkt treffen?

Bill: Man hofft natürlich. Ich sage immer: Eigentlich ist das ja der einzige Grund, warum man morgens aufsteht! Man will ja geliebt werden! Und man will seine Liebe finden, weil: Sonst hat ja alles keinen Sinn. Wir haben unsere Familien und Freunde, die immer wichtiger werden. Aber natürlich hoffe ich, dass die Liebe passiert. Obwohl ich im gleichen Moment weiß, das es das Unrealistischste ist, was gerade in meinem Leben geschehen könnte. Die vergangenen fünf Jahre, seit das mit Tokio Hotel losging, hatte ich ja keinerlei Beziehungen, da war gar nichts in dieser Richtung. Aber ich hoffe auf den großen Zufall.

Tom: Grundsätzlich muss man aber sagen, dass wir kaum noch vor die Tür gehen.

Haben Sie keine Kontakte zu Hollywoodschönheiten knüpfen können, wo Sie doch schon in Los Angeles aufgenommen haben?

Tom: An Telefonnummern mangelt es nicht. Ich habe so viele im Handy, so viele Frauen könnte ich an einem Tag gar nicht anrufen.

Bill: Das Problem ist aber, dass man sich nie so richtig intensiv kennen lernt. Alles ist oberflächlich. Und es geht auch alles so schnell vorbei. Viele meinen, man hängt bei Veranstaltungen zusammen rum. Aber so ist es ja gar nicht. Jeder hat seinen eigenen Film, hetzt seinem Zeitplan hinterher. Wenn die Kameras weg sind, rennt man zu seiner Garderobe zurück und ist für sich.

Tom: Vielleicht tauscht man mal Nummern aus, aber für mehr reicht es nicht. Bill hat da ja sowieso keinen Bock drauf. Und bei mir reicht es dann maximal für eine Nacht. Und selbst wenn du dir vornimmst, mal was Ernsteres daraus werden zu lassen, hast du ja gar nicht die Möglichkeit. Ich bin den einen Tag in der Stadt und den nächsten woanders.

Bill: Ich bräuchte ja ein Mädchen, das ihr komplettes Leben aufgibt. Und bereit ist, mein Leben mit mir zu leben.

Aber dann wäre sie ja auch irgendwie uninteressant, oder?

Bill: Nicht unbedingt. Natürlich muss sie ihre eigene Persönlichkeit haben, aber eben auch bereit sein, den Wahnsinn mitzumachen, den ich den ganzen Tag habe. Ich glaube, das ist schwer. Bei aller Liebe.

Tom: Es muss gut überlegt sein, jemandem, der so ein Leben überhaupt nicht kennt, so was anzutun.

Androgynen Popstars sagt man gemeinhin nach, dass sie von jungen Mädchen deshalb so gemocht werden, weil sie ungefährlich für sie sind. Sind Sie ungefährlich, Bill?

Bill: Ich weiß nicht, aber gut möglich. Man sagt aber andererseits auch, dass Frauen auf Arschlöcher stehen. Und ich stelle ja bei meinem Bruder immer wieder fest, dass das auch funktioniert.

In nur vier Jahren stiegen sie von der Magdeburger Schülerband zur weltweit erfolgreichsten deutschen Rockgruppe auf, verkauften mehr als sechs Millionen CDs, spielen ausverkaufte Tourneen auf der ganzen Welt.

BILD bat Bill Kaulitz zum intimen Geburtstags-Interview. Der Rockstar spricht über

Sein Spiegelbild
„Ich schaue morgens nicht in den Spiegel und sage: ,Wow, bist du ´ne geile Sau!‘. Ich habe ein normales Verhältnis zu meinem Gesicht und meinem Körper. Ich fühle mich wohl.“

Seine schlanke Figur
„Ich ernähre mich fast nur von ungesundem Kram und bestell mir eine Pizza nach der anderen. Dick werde ich einfach nicht. Ich muss Euch enttäuschen, ich geh nicht kotzen um so dünn zu sein.“

„Wir verdienen gutes Geld, sind aber keine Multi-Millionäre, wie viele meinen. Wir lassen extrem viel Kohle liegen. Neunzig Prozent der Werbeverträge, die uns angeboten wurden, hab ich abgesagt, weil ich entweder die Marken oder die Produkte beschissen fand. Ich möchte nur Sachen machen, die ich selbst gut finde.“

„Ich gebe viel Geld für Urlaub aus, das ist eigentlich schon krank und völlig übertrieben. Aber da ich so wenig Urlaub mache, will ich es mir da richtig gut gehen lassen.“

„Zu meinem Schulabschluss hab ich mir ´ne Rolex gekauft, obwohl mich Uhren überhaupt nicht interessieren. Ich fand‘s einfach lustig, mit 18 eine Rolex zu haben. Eigentlich total bescheuert.“

Sein Sexleben
„Ich hab keine Freundin und Sex ohne Liebe ist nichts für mich. Damit soll mein Bruder seine Zeit verschwenden. Irgendwann wird er merken, dass ihm das ganze Rumgepoppe nichts bringt.“
Seine Vorlieben
„Ich steh auf schöne Hände. Ich gucke immer zuerst auf die Hände. Und Augen sind ganz wichtig. Die Haarfarbe ist mir komplett egal.“

Seine Einsamkeit
„Wenn ich nach einem Konzert allein auf meinem Hotel-Zimmer bin, weiß ich manchmal nicht, was ich mit mir anfangen soll. Dann ist auf einmal alles ganz leise.“

Seine Bett-Gefährten
„Meine vier Hunde schlafen bei mir im Bett. Ich könnte nie auf sie verzichten. Umso näher sie mir sind, desto schöner ist es. Ich kann nur jedem raten: Nehmt alle Eure Hunde mit in´s Bett!“

Seine Gefühle
„Ich muss zugeben, es gibt Filme, die mich zum Weinen bringen, zum Beispiel ,Wie ein einziger Tag‘. Jetzt denken wahrscheinlich viele: Hah, wussten wir´s doch, die Schwuchtel heult, wenn sie vor´m Fernseher sitzt.“

Seine Fehler
„Ich glaube, ich kann anstrengend sein. Manchmal bin ich ganz schön krass in dem, was ich sage. Dann denke ich im Nachhinein, das hätte ich auch lassen können.“

Sein Karriere-Ende
„Nach meiner Stimmband-OP im letzten Jahr hatte ich Lust, alles hinzuschmeißen. Ich dachte: Oh Gott, ich will meine Fresse nie wieder in Kameras halten. Aber für mich gibt es nur die Musik. Wenn ich jetzt eine Ausbildung machen müsste, ich wüsste nicht, in welche Richtung.“

Seine Ängste
„Generell habe ich Angst, dass einem Menschen, der mir nahe steht, etwas zustößt. Auch wenn einem meiner Hunde etwas passieren würde, könnte ich das nicht verkraften.“

Seinen Tagesablauf
„Ich bin total der Nachtmensch. Während der Albumproduktion war ich meistens bis sechs Uhr morgens im Tonstudio, und bin dann erst nachmittags wieder aufgestanden. Meistens sehe ich von der Welt nur Flughäfen, Hotels und unsere Auftrittsorte.“
Seinen Alltag
„Ich war seit Jahren nicht mehr selbst einkaufen, Ich kann mich nicht erinnern, wann ich zuletzt in einem Supermarkt war. Ich weiß nicht mal mehr, was ein Stück Butter kostet. Von normalem Leben kann bei mir keine Rede mehr sein.“

Seinen Geburtstag
„Tom und ich wollen privat mit Freunden und Familie feiern. Ausserdem wollen wir nachts ´ne Achterbahn mieten. Wir sind seit Ewigkeiten nicht mehr Achterbahn gefahren. Wir lieben so´n Scheiss.“

Kinder, wie die Zeit vergeht: Die Teeniestars von Tokio Hotel sind auch schon fast zwanzig. Bill und Tom Kaulitz erzählen von Abstürzen mit 15, dem Glück, selbst einkaufen zu gehen, und warum sie am liebsten mit Omas reden

Bill Kaulitz gehe nie ungeschminkt aus dem Haus, sagt die Frau von der Plattenfirma. Die Zeit für die Maske müsse man bei Terminen daher immer mit berechnen. Und wenn der zierliche junge Mann vor einem steht, bekommt man eine leise Ahnung, wie viel Zeit sein Äußeres braucht. Unter den schwarzen, perfekt frisierten Haaren schauen blonde Dreadlocks hervor, die Augenlider ziert eine Komposition von schwarzem und weißem Strich, dazu passend sind die Nägel lackiert. Die Hände in Lederhandschuhen haben Mühe, die Masse an Ketten, die an seinem schwarzen Shirt befestigt sind, zu ordnen. Sein Zwilling Tom sitzt neben ihm auf einer Couch in einem Hotelzimmer mit rosa Wänden. Er gefällt sich als Streetrocker mit Lederjacke und geflochtenen Haaren. Nicht minder aufwendig, aber nicht so auffällig. Zwei ganz normale Jungs in Popstar-Verkleidung.

Welt am Sonntag:

Bill, Tom, Sie beide haben am 1. September Geburtstag, was wünschen Sie sich?
- Bill Kaulitz: Ich wünsche mir, mit meiner Familie zusammen zu sein, meine Freunde zu sehen und Kaffee zu trinken. Ich liebe Kaffeetrinken, ich trinke ihn literweise. Und ich hätte gerne eine Kaffeerunde mit Sahnetörtchen. Und geil wäre, wenn die alle über 60 wären. So ein richtiger Kaffeeklatsch.
- Tom Kaulitz: Mit so alten Leuten kann man nämlich Gespräche führen, die ganz ab vom Schuss sind. Die machen sich ganz andere Gedanken. Das fände ich gut, jeden Sonntag Kaffeeklatsch.

Haben Sie materielle Wünsche?
- Bill: Ich nicht.

Ein neues Auto vielleicht?
- Tom: Ich glaube, es gibt niemanden, der mir was Materielles schenken würde. Aber klar, über ein neues Auto würde ich mich schon freuen.

Sie werden 20. Sind Sie erwachsen?
- Bill: Ich glaube, ich werde nie erwachsen. Aber erwachsen ist ja auch relativ, ich habe schon mit 13 gedacht, dass ich alles machen kann, und habe mich alt genug gefühlt, in Clubs zu gehen und Alkohol zu trinken. Ich hab mich immer älter gefühlt, als ich bin.

Sie haben per Fernunterricht Ihre mittlere Reife nachgemacht und wurden für besonders gute Leistung ausgezeichnet.
- Bill: Das ist fast peinlich, oder?

Ein bisschen.
- Bill: Tom und ich haben die Schulzeit gehasst. Das war die schlimmste Zeit in unserem Leben. Alle, die zur Schule gehen, tun mir sehr leid.

Was war daran so schlimm?
- Tom: Am meisten sind wir aufgrund unseres Aussehens in der Schule angeeckt. Am allerschlimmsten finde ich, dass die Persönlichkeit jedes Einzelnen in der Schule total unterdrückt wird.
- Bill: Tom und ich wurden in zwei verschiedene Klassen strafversetzt in der 7. Klasse. Wir waren richtige Problemkinder und wären fast von der Schule geflogen. Aber nicht wegen Drogen oder Prügeleien. Sondern wegen Diskussionen, denen die Lehrer einfach nicht gewachsen waren. Und da merkt man, dass Pädagogik in der Lehrerausbildung viel zu kurz kommt. Viele rutschen in das Studium rein, weil sie keine andere Möglichkeit sehen. Aber um Lehrer zu sein, muss man es richtig wollen und Leidenschaft haben.

Sie haben ja für viele Ihrer Fans auch einen Vorbildcharakter. Gibt es Werte, die Sie vermitteln wollen?
- Tom: Wir fühlen uns eigentlich nicht als Vorbilder.

Aber Sie leben ja schon etwas vor. Sind Sie sich dessen bewusst?
- Tom: Nein, oft nicht. Man muss sich davon auch frei machen. Wir haben ja sowieso schon einen sehr begrenzten Freiraum. Ich will auf keinen Fall jetzt auch noch darauf achten, dass ich keine Schimpfwörter in Interviews benutze.

Sie haben sich aber zum Beispiel für eine Anti-Aidskampagne engagiert.
- Tom: Natürlich, wir versuchen schon manchmal, uns für Sachen einzusetzen, die wir wichtig finden. Aber im Endeffekt: Ich hasse diese Zeigefingerposition. So möchte ich nie werden.

Gehen Sie wählen?
- Tom: Ähm, ja. Mal gucken.
- Bill: Dann jedenfalls das erste Mal.

Wie hoch ist der Anteil an Normalität in Ihrem Leben?
- Bill: Ein Prozent.

Ist es so wie bei internationalen Stars, dass Sie nicht mal mehr einkaufen gehen können?
- Tom: Ja, absolut. Als wir angefangen haben, Musik zu machen, waren wir in einem Alter, in dem unsere Eltern für uns eingekauft haben, und jetzt sind wir in einem Alter, in dem wir das selber machen müssten, und können es nicht.
- Bill: Das klingt zwar ganz cool, einen Personal Assistant zu haben, der immer alles besorgt. Aber ich würde mir meinen Joghurt auch gerne mal selbst aussuchen.
- Tom: In den USA gibt es auch Supermärkte, die 24 Stunden am Tag offen haben. Da kannst du auch nachts um vier hin, wenn sonst keiner da ist. Da sind wir mal in eine Spielwarenabteilung gegangen und haben uns alles geholt. Pistolen mit Pfeilen oder ferngesteuerte Autos.
- Bill: Und dann haben wir damit Autos beschossen. Total albern.

Und wie kaufen Sie Ihre Kleidung?
- Bill: Das macht man dann meistens im Internet oder aus dem Katalog. Total langweilig. Aber man muss auch manchmal über seinen Schatten springen. Scheiß drauf, dann stehen halt da draußen Fotografen und Fans vor der Tür. Manchmal muss man rausgehen, das braucht man einfach auch, um zu leben.

Was steht denn auf Ihrer Cateringwunschliste?
- Bill: Eigentlich gibt es jedes Jahr eine neue. Und ich muss zugeben, die ist ganz schön lang. Aber wir sind so wenig zu Hause, und dann versucht man es sich möglichst schön zu machen. Das Wichtigste sind Kaffee und richtige Decken in den Hotels. Diese Wolldecken sind das Schlimmste. Da fühlt man sich wie beim Zelten. Das ist das, was mir am wichtigsten ist, eine richtige Decke und ein richtiges Kopfkissen.

Haben Sie eigentlich noch ganz normale Freundschaften von früher?
- Bill: Nur. In der Tokio Hotel-Zeit haben wir keine neuen Freunde dazubekommen, weil man Menschen gar nicht mehr so richtig kennenlernt. Jeder, der uns trifft, hat ja oft schon eine Meinung über uns.

Sind Sie besonders vorsichtig im Kontakt mit Menschen, weil Sie oft betrogen worden sind?
- Tom: Ja, meistens von so versteckten Redakteuren. Wir haben extreme Erfahrungen am Anfang unserer Karriere gemacht. Mit 15 waren wir auf jeder Aftershowparty und haben uns natürlich schon zugekippt mit Alkohol. Damals war es so: Du hast einen Schluck Alkohol getrunken, und dann riefen am nächsten Tag Redakteure beim Jugendamt an und wollten das ganz Projekt einstampfen lassen.

Aber Sie kriegen wahrscheinlich auch ein Coaching, wie man mit solchen Situationen umgehen muss.
- Tom: Nein, hatten wir nie. Und ich will nicht auch noch jemanden, der mir erzählt, wie ich auf welche Fragen antworten muss.
- Bill: Das muss man selber lernen. Indem man sich reinstürzt und dann damit lebt, dass auch mal falsche Sachen in der Zeitung stehen.

Bekommen Sie für solche Fälle psychologische Unterstützung?
- Tom: Die psychologische Betreuung übernehmen die Familie und die Freunde. Ich könnte mir schon vorstellen professionelle Hilfe zu bekommen, aber dafür haben wir auch wieder keine Zeit.
- Bill: Wenn Leute das machen, kann ich das nachvollziehen. Das Problem ist, ich glaub da nicht dran.
- Tom: Ich denk auch immer, ich bin cleverer als der Psychologe selbst.
- Bill: Genau. All das, was ich da erzähle, erzähle ich ja bewusst, weil es mein Problem ist. Und dann würde mir der Psychologe sagen: Ja, da musst du mal drüber nachdenken. Und dann denk ich mir: Ja toll, das wusste ich auch schon vorher.[/align]

Yesterday afternoon Simone Kaulitz and her partner Gordon Trümper (37) married at Rügen.
Simone Kaulitz? Yes, exactly, the mother of the Tokio-Hotel-twins Bill and Tom Kaulitz (19).
Already 12 years ago the artist from Loitsche got to know the musician Gordon from Magdeburg.
Yesterday afternoon they became man and wife in a white tent at the Göhlener north-beach.

The guitarist of the band “Fatun” wore a brown jacket, a beige pair of trousers and a matching hat.
The artist presented herself in a long white wedding dress, covered her shoulders with a stole in addition.

In the evening the wedding party celebrated in the “Bernsteinpalais” opposite the hotel “Hanseatic”, including a wedding serenade by Bill and Tom.

Bill and Tom Kaulitz had it clear. At barely 12 years of age the German twins had the firm conviction that music was their thing…and they were not wrong. In 2001 Bill in the roll of singer and Tom as the guitarist convinced Gustav to be the drummer and Georg Listing to do his thing as the bassist and form a group of which their main objective was to perform live.
Two years later the group signed a contract with Universal Music and take on the name Tokio Hotel. From there the quartet from Magdeburg prepared their ideas for their first album which finally went on sale in 2005 titled Schrei. The singles “Durchen den Monsun”, “Rette Mich” and “Der Letzte Tag from the debut album which rapidly climbed to the top of the German charts. And a few months later the showy look of the singer Bill Kaulitz (hair standing up, painted nails and eye makeup) and the melancholy sound of punk passed through a pop filter awakened a strong interest in European kids. Zimmer 483 appears in 2007 as the second entry to their catalog and confirms the rise of a group that started playing live more each time and while watching their fans grow in numbers. And to reinforce that growth the band decides to put all their energy in extending their phenomenon in the Anglo market. How? They translated a selection of songs to English from their first two albums for “Scream” the last disco graphic piece from the quartet that unleashes the hysteria from the fanatics that follow their every move. “We’ve come further than we thought in the beginning…none of us imagined this, not the producer, not the manager no one” commented Bill about the fame a group used to signing autographs, taking pictures and hearing the loud screaming at their concerts.

These days the Kaulitz brothers and their band mates have put all their energy on working on their new studio album. Internet buzz is that the new single will be out in September. A month later the new album will hit stores and soon after the band will begin promoting worldwide which will include concerts with renewed nails on stage (I have no idea what that part means). That show is what local producers are negotiating to have in Santiago for the first part of 2010. The initial plan was for the group to begin their first South American tour at the end of this year, but the work on the album has delayed the dates for their awaited visit. Patience!

Tokio Hotel wrote only one song <>. The publication of this album was the most important turning point for the band. And the band became very famous in Germany. It's been two years, two long years since the last Tokio Hotel album "Zimmer 483" conquered the world. From then the are waitning for new music from the German world stars. Now it's finally coming again. Inthe Fall the new CD should come and bring a completely new Tokio Hotel-sound. And because the CD would have a beautiful cover, Bill(19), Tom (19), Gustav (20) and Georg (22) meet at a secret place, to make photo's.

The four guys are in a good mood and excited to finally start again. they're laughing, making cool poses, are being crazy, and sitting on each others back and acting like normal guys. The pressure has finally gone away. Everyone is expecting a big succes. Especially in the USA, the new album will be a big break through.

But Bill &co don't get stressed:"We took extra long time to make this CD" says producer David Jost from LA. "We didn't want any pressure and wanted to try everything. So it doesn't matter to them that the photoshoot is taking forever:two days long, untill late at night. "The ones to blame are Gustav and Georg." laughs Tom ( 19). "They took forever on the make-up chair."
Bill took care of his styling himself and also designed his clothing. And changed his hair to: First lionmanes now long dreadlocks.

New look perfect for the new Album. Now nothing can go wrong anymore;
